Boxmoor Good Neighbours

Our volunteers give back to their community by helping older people to continue to contribute and be involved locally. We also enable them to retain the quality of life and dignity that they deserve in older age.

Coronavirus Pandemic

Boxmoor Good Neighbours continues to support the elderly during the current Coronavirus Pandemic. The threat of contracting coronavirus, self-isolation and self-distancing have brought new challenges ( amongst them social isolation and loneliness) for the elderly in our community.

If you are a Boxmoor resident and elderly, unwell, lonely, disabled, facing a crisis or need some support – we are here to help.  We follow Government Coronavirus guidance to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Working together with Age UK Dacorum, our volunteers, most of whom live locally, can offer a range of services from shopping, prescription collection, befriending to gardening.

To find out more please call our Duty Officer on 07713 358931.

Giving cake to a neighbour

A neighbour receiving a home-made cake prepared by a volunteer, to help lighten the monotony of self-isolation due to the threat of Coronavirus. A rare moment of normality, inducing a welcome smile of appreciation.
